How long have you been playing soccer and who got you started?
I have been playing soccer ever since my father got me started at the age of 5.
Do you have a favorite professional team and how did you gravitate toward them?
My favorite professional team is Liverpool FC. One day I woke up to watch some English Premier League matches, and I happened to turn on a Liverpool game. They won by a large margin, so I decided to look them up. I was taken away by their history and their support group, and from that day forward I became a Liverpool fan.
How did you react when the United States was eliminated from World Cup qualifying?
I feel like the United States are in a transitional period right now ever since their attempt at the 2010 World Cup, but I think there is a bright future for our team considering the amount of American youth talent around the world.
What other sports do you play or follow?
I do not play or follow any other sports. Soccer has completely consumed my attention.
What do you like to do when you’re not playing soccer?
When I am not playing soccer, I like to have a good time with friends and family.
Is there a particular food/meal/restaurant you enjoy?
My favorite food is pasta, but I don’t necessarily have a go-to restaurant.
What are your post-high school aspirations?
I would like to attend a university with a division one soccer team, and hopefully join the MLS soon after.
What have you learned about yourself by playing on a sports team?
I’ve learned that soccer can give me a lot of happiness and joy, but making new friends and sharing our love for the sport is the best part of playing on a sports team.
