Union County Tournament information here; Girls’ soccer Oct. 21 and field hockey and boys’ soccer Oct. 22 at Johnson

UCT boys’ soccer semifinals Saturday, Oct. 22 at Johnson
The boys’ soccer Union County Tournament is scheduled to continue Saturday with the semifinals at Johnson High School’s Nolan Field in Clark.
The top four seeds made it.
At 5:30 p.m. it will be third-seeded Elizabeth vs. second-seeded Westfield and at 7:30 p.m. it will be fourth-seeded Cranford vs. top-seeded and five-time defending champion Scotch Plains.
Scotch Plains has been in the last six finals, losing in 2010 to Westfield. The Raiders have won the most titles, 19, with one of them shared.

4-Cranford vs. 1-Scotch Plains, 7:30 p.m.

UCT girls’ soccer semifinals Friday, Oct. 21 at Johnson
The girls’ soccer Union County Tournament semifinals are scheduled to take place Friday, Oct. 21 at Johnson High School’s Nolan Field in Clark.
It will be third-seeded Cranford vs. second-seeded and six-time defending champion Scotch Plains at 5:30 p.m., followed by fourth-seeded Oak Knoll vs. top-seeded Westfield at 7:30 p.m.
Westfield last won the crown outright in 2001 and then shared it in 2002, 2006 and 2012.
Scotch Plains has won all 10 of its titles in the last 11 years.
Westfield has won the most titles with 19, three of them shared.

4-Oak Knoll vs. 1-Westfield, 7:30 p.m.

UCT field hockey final Saturday, Oct. 22 at Johnson
The field hockey Union County Tournament final is scheduled to be played Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. at Johnson High School’s Nolan Field in Clark. It will be second-seeded Kent Place vs. top-seeded and 6-time defending champ Oak Knoll.
Since 2004, Oak Knoll has won 11 of the last 12 championships.

The Union County gymnastics meet is Friday, Oct 21 at Westfield, scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m..
The host Blue Devils will be going for their 11th straight title.
Cranford is 9-0 and will also challenge for the team crown.

Union County cross country meets Oct. 26 at Warinanco Park
The Union County cross country meets are Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Warinanco Park at 4 p.m.
The Union County Conference meets were scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Warinanco Park.
