Union County Conference boys’ and girls’ basketball standings and overall records here; Boys’ Watchung and Valley titles and girls’ Mountain crown still up for grabs

Below are the Union County Conference boys’ and girls’ basketball standings as of Monday, Feb. 13
and overall records through games played Saturday, Feb. 11.

In the boys’ Union County Conference, the Watchung and Valley division titles have still not been decided.

Patrick School clinched at least a tie for the Watchung Division crown with a final division mark of 7-1.
Linden is 5-1 and has division games remaining at home against Plainfield and Elizabeth. Should the Tigers win those games then Linden will share the Watchung Division championship with Patrick School.

Rahway leads Scotch Plains by one game – 9-1 to 8-2 – for the Mountain Division title. Both teams have two division games remaining.

St. Mary’s, Elizabeth captured the Mountain Division title perfect at 6-0, while Johnson repeated as Sky Division champions and did so with a perfect 10-0 mark.

In the girls’ Union County Conference, the only division title still up for grabs is the Mountain.

Rahway is the leader, finished at 8-2. Johnson is in second place at 6-2 and still has games at Plainfield and home vs. Summit. If Johnson wins both, the Crusaders will won the division outright based on sweeping Rahway.

Patrick School won the Watchung Division title perfect at 10-0, Oak Knoll captured the Valley Division crown at 11-1 and Kent Place clinched the Sky Division championship at 7-0 and still has one division game to play shojld it chooses to do so.
